Shots of Valentines

    

     My Valentine's day was just like any other day. It was nothing special and nothing much happened. I probably just watched people flex their relationships more openly during that day. I witnessed how some people around me receive roses and gifts from their admirers or partners. I never found myself celebrating it this year.

     But if I were to remember my best experiences during Valentine’s Day, it would be my Valentine’s Day during elementary days. I felt like it was my most celebrated Valentine’s Day. There would be lots of activities in which my friends and I would participate eagerly. Also, I only not made letters to my friends but also to my teachers and my parents. I remember how my friends and I wore red shirts and acted like we were the happiest people even if none of us were in a relationship. We were contented with having each other and it showed the essence of Valentine’s Day. Love not only for couples but love for everyone; for friends and family.

     But as time goes by, I do not find myself celebrating it anymore. It went from a must-celebratory day to just a normal day. But even so, it is still an occasion that I would always acknowledge.
